April Guest Designer Linda Auclair

Hello Simple Stories fans, Layle here with you today :)

I'm excited to introduce you to our April guest designer Linda Auclair -

Here's a little bit about Linda -

Hi!  I’m Linda Auclair from scenic New Hampshire, and I’m so excited to be guesting here at Simple Stories today!  I am a lifetime crafter, and have spent the past years working in the papercrafts industry. I have had the great honor of representing a variety of manufacturers and online retailers with my papercrafting, scrapbooking, and card-making projects.  I’ve been published in a variety of magazines and eMags, and in January I was lucky enough to run the Make & Take counter for one of my favorite companies at CHA in California, and will have several other teaching opportunities with them throughout the year.  I have an active blog, and post new projects nearly every weekday:  http://elendae.wordpress.com/  Please stop by and say “hello”! I’m also an addicted pinner, and invite you to check out my boards at http://www.pinterest.com/elendae/

The projects I have to share with you today all use the brand new DIY and DIY Boutique collections from Simple Stories.  The first is a bright and happy shadowbox.  “Joy” is my word of the year, and I will be re-visiting it with new projects throughout the year.  The stickers and chipboard that coordinate with this collection are the perfect scale for my project, and I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out!

I also put together two new layouts with paper and elements from the collection.  The first features studio photographs of my dancer arranged in a grid format.  I love the new clear stickers – both black and white in one package!  The white “fabulous” shows up perfectly on my black cardstock, and I was able to use the black stickers directly on the white background of my photos.

My second page is just as bright and happy as my daughter, who had spent the day doing “makeovers” with her best friend.  I’ve layered papers, tags, stickers and embellishments but maintained my usual clean and simple style.

I want to thank Simple Stories for inviting me to participate in their blog today, and hope you have enjoyed the projects I have shared with you!

Thanks so much Linda for sharing your work with us!!
