Hello Simple Stories friends! It’s Jen today with a new project using the beautiful Simple Vintage Coastal collection.

This layout has a lot of texture beginning with the layered papers. To create this look, I tore several of the patterned papers and adhered them in layers to white cardstock. There is also a bit of washi tape in the layers that I tore in half to create the same edge as the papers. Once I had everything in place, I simply cut the excess edges off with scissors.

Next, I used the stamps and pineapple stencil with acrylic gel medium and my laminator to create gold foiled accents. First was the pineapple stencil, which is placed behind the photo. To achieve this effect, I used the stencil with the acrylic gel, let it dry, and sent it through the laminator with gold foil. It wasn’t until recently that I knew this was even possible! I love how it turned out and will definitely be using this technique in the future.

Continuing with the foiling method, I applied gel medium to the floral stamp and stamped several images onto smooth white cardstock. Once dried, they were sent through the laminator with gold foil. I fussy cut the flowers and used them with the other embellishments around the frame.

With my papers and photo in place, I began layering embellishments beginning with the layered frame. No matter that it was intended to be used with two photos . . . I used this spot to add tons of die cuts, stickers, and chipboard.

I continued the cluster of embellishments on the right side of the frame.

Below the frame, I added the chipboard title and typed the place and date on patterned paper that I cut into strips and adhered with foam squares. To finish it all off, I wrapped twine around the top of the page and stapled it in place and added a sticker along the bottom border.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I hope you are inspired to create.

Hello Simple Stories Friends! Nathalie with you today with a new layout that celebrates the splendorous Summer days, and what better way to document those sun-filled memories than with the new SUMMER FARMHOUSE collection from Simple Stories.

I love the country feel of this collection, so i decided to "modernize" a weaving design for the background of the page.

I cut zig zag strips from a few of the papers in the collection, and literally weave them along the width of the paper.  Once they were in place, i brought back the homemade feel of the collection by hand stitching each strip to the woodgrain paper -Sunnies and Sandals-

The lovely red color in the palette matched the color of my daughter's bathing suit  -12 yrs ago-, so  i printed a few of the pictures, and layered some papers (3x4 elements and 4x6 elements) behind the images.  Once i set them on the right of the page (along the stitched weaved strips), i embellished the  images with pieces from the ephemera, sticker sheet and tablet. All the florals in this collection are amazing!

I love the tone on tone look of the Summer chipboard piece on the background; so, i mixed it with a die cut piece and a stamped image ( the collection matching stamp is awesome, and so versatile!) to complete the title.  A few more embellishments completed the page.

This layout was truly so much fun to put together using the beautiful  Simple Stories' Summer Farmhouse collection.  I am sure you are going to love all that you can document with it this summer!

Hello everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. It’s Kylie back with you all, to share a brand new layout I have created featuring elements from the super fun Color Vibe collection. I have a ‘thing’ for pastels so the Lights Textured cardstock kit, teamed with some of the Foam Alpha Stickers and the Lights Alpha Sticker book were a perfect combo. I immediately thought of a rainbow seeing all the colours together, so that became the inspiration for my layout.

I added half a sheet of the ‘Bubblegum’ paper over the top of some white cardstock from my stash to form the background base. I also added a strip of the ‘Mint’ that had been run through a decorative border punch. Once my rainbow had been cut out and layered together, I adhered it to the background with foam tape so that it looked like it was floating. I created a cloud from more white cardstock as well as some gold glitter card which I had been saving for a special project. This was also adhered with foam tape before I created my title for the page. I love the Foam Alpha stickers! They really added a lovely dimension to my page, teamed together with the Alpha Sticker Book.

At this point I decided to add some pretty paper blooms to my design. Using the ‘Buttercup’ paper and a simple flower punch, I created some layered flowers. With a white marker pen I edged each flower petal as well as the leaves to highlight them a little. Then, I curled the petals up a little before adhering them together. I found some enamel dots from a past Simple Stories Christmas collection that were a perfect colour to centre each bloom.

I created two different sized layered blooms for effect. The leaves were added to fill any gap and to provide balance.

Once completed I also added a very fine, free hand drawn border with the white marker pen to the edge of the ‘Bubblegum’ paper. This detail is only very faint, but I like the effectiveness it gives.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my latest creation today and it gives you a little inspiration for your own scrapbooking layouts.

Take care!

Kylie.

Hello, friends! It’s Mik here on the blog today! Today I’ll show you my very first flipbook album. I’m absolutely in love with the new Sn@p! flipbooks by Simple Stories. They are so beautiful and versatile! You can find them in two sizes and a rainbow of colors.

Here I used a Navy 4x6 Sn@p flipbook that match perfectly with the lovely Birthday Blast Collection. Birthdays are moments of great joy, so for my cover I made a shaker using a paper from 6x8 Paper pad; the same you can find on 12x12: Best Day Ever and It’s my party.

I filled the shaker with tiny sequins and decorated the cover with additional stickers, die cuts and enamel dots. I also covered the black paper with 4x6 elements paper.

I love to add flap pages. I feel that it gives a fun touch to the project.

Another item that I love to add is paperclips. You can use either the bits & pieces or the chipboard stickers to make it. It's super easy and fun to make.

Adding pockets is always a good idea. With that in mind, I made a paper pocket and a tag, to add more photos. I hope you’ve got some inspiration from this idea! If you have any questions, or if you would like to talk about Sn@p! or maybe watch a video showing the inside of the album, come and check out my IG account.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

Hi beautiful Simple Stories friends. Cristina here with you today to show you a new project I made with the brand new Color Vibe and Summer Farmhouse collections. I chose the Color Vibe textured cardstock lights that has pastel colors that I love the most. Beautiful texture and very high quality for these sheets that have a side in a solid color and the back one with tiny lovely white polka dots, really amazing.

I decided to use the solid side because I would make a mixed media layout using an acrylic paint that I spread directly on the sheet using a brush. I really love the effect from the light green and pink. When the paint was almost dry I mixed a little bit of the acrylic paint with water and I spread many drops on the cardstock using a watercolor brush. The total matte texture of this paint perfectly fits with the background sheet so I really love how it turned out. After that I let everything dry I started to make my composition.

As my pic is a little bit romantic I decided to add a delicate touch using white tulle on the mixed media background to create a contrast - Really cool!!! After that I cut my star file using my cameo using the hot pink cardstock and a white one, I superimposed the cut outline of the stars and then I did the same with the cut of the whole stars. Finally, I glued everything to the tulle using double-sided foam adhesive.

Each decorative element is from the Farmhouse collection and I chose some chipboard stickers. I just love the big title that is really gorgeous thanks to the lovely font used. I flipped over the opposite two corners and added some stickers there. To complete my decorations I spread many drops of gesso mixed with water and added some enamel dots and brads all around the page.

I usually love to create my composition using many layers and for that I added double tape foam adhesive to have a 3d effect. I think this way is much more affordable on the mixed media projects. This is my own idea about that so if you like my page take a chance to try to make something having fun with any kind of paint, watercolor, acrylic, gesso, everything goes because the Color Vibe textured cardstock it is very thick. This high quality paper helps you to add water based paints without any issue. Try it!

This is my project and I hope you are inspired by it. So please don’t forget to leave us a comment below and tell us which is your own idea on how to use these collections. Thank you so much for joining me today and see you to the next post.
Bye.

Hi friends!  I hope you’re having a great day!  Memorial Day weekend is always the start of Summer in my mind.  The days are longer and it’s time to take life a little slower.  DH is working the grill and the tropical drinks are on me!

And while lots of us will be having staycations this summer this collection can be your sweet escape to your favorite tropical hideaway and a little island living.

This collection is beautifully color coordinated in shades of turquoise, coral and greens.   The prints include map prints, bamboo and weathered wood, as well as flirty flamingos and gorgeous orchids.

There are two packs of bits and pieces with pretty orchids and hibiscus, water birds, and different palm and banana trees!

I love the juicy pineapples and realistic looking flowers and sea shells.   There are lots of sentiments perfect for summer greetings or invites.

If you look close you’ll also notice the decorative brads in this collection.  The sheet has several different sizes – some with images under the glossy bubbles, others solid and shiny for a little eye candy.

The washi set includes three different prints – one with orchids, another with a map print and a third that is a printed roll of pineapples.  You’ll find a brad as well as a bit of washi on each card shown today.  Can you find them?

I love the chipboard pieces to add dimension to my cards, and the sticker sheet for bitty sentiment strips.   They’re fun to mix and match for one of a kind card creations!

Wishing you sunny days and thoughts of your happy place as you explore the Vintage Coastal collection!

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout to share using the Magical Birthday collection.  I love all the pretty and girly colors of this collection.  It was a perfect match for the little sock monkey on my photo!

I tore some strips of paper from the 6x8 pad to create my background.  I then added some messy stitching with coordinating thread.

My favorite thing about these new collections are the foam stickers!  They are perfect for a quick and easy title!

My daughter had a collection of sock monkeys when she was little.  She was so excited to get this birthday one!

I finished it off by adding some loose thread, enamel dots and little hearts.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello, oh how I love summer! How about you? This fabulous Summer Farmhouse Collection by Simple Stories is the perfect mix of ginghams, bunting, florals and fruit for documenting your summer fun! I just had to use the floral paper on the front of the red 6x8 Sn@p! Binder, you know how much I love florals!!

I used lots of layers to decorate the front, paper doilies, tags, ephemera, chipboard pieces, enamel dots, rolled paper strips, brads and tied it all in with some gingham ribbon!

I do enjoy doing 6x8 layouts, here I’ve cut out a pocket from one of the images and used it as a pocket to store little library cards which I can journal on. Also I’ve used one of the 4x6 Sn@p! Cards to list my summer top ten’s!

I’ve decorated the chipboard dividers which come included with your Sn@p! Binders, using the large pictures from the 6x8 paper pad, and on the reverse of each divider I’ve made pockets.

I made some fun tags to go in one of the pockets, a card to store the coordinating Washi tape and also I’ve made a cute little booklet which opens up!

I have also started making some 4x6 elements where I can add photos, I like to include plenty of interest using die cuts, stickers and word strips.

I hope you enjoy your summer, although, I know it’s going to be very different to any we’ve had before!! If you’d like to see more of how I use simple stories products, pop over to my IG page

Hi everybody! I´m Celes from GuiadeManualidades.com and today we are going to have a very special celebration! As we are all at home, taking care of each other… many of our loved ones have had their birthday. Besides doing a video call and sending beautiful messages… We can create something special for them.

During these isolated days my goddaughter celebrated her birthday. I still haven't seen her (60 days and counting…) But I decided to make something colorful and interactive for her. So the explosion box was the best option. It’s a funny and lovely project and the Magical Birthday Collection was perfect for it.

I made 3 boxes for it and decorated it with a lot of complements and details from this amazing collection. Feel free to use any model of this box you have. But in case you don’t have one, I will leave some cutting files at the end of this post. You can cut them with your cutting machine or by hand. The first thing to do is to cut the 3 boxes. I used white cardstock for them but you can use another color if you like.

Next… the magic begins! We are going to play with all the beautiful papers from this collection! We have to choose 4 papers for every box (2 for the outside, 2 for the inside)

We are going to decorate the exterior of each box and all the lids. Note: for the smaller box I used the 6x8 Paper Pad

When this step is ready, it’s time to decorate. Love to do it!  I combined die cuts, washi tape, chipboard, foam stickers, stamps, enamel dots, stickers. I added the pink foam alpha stickers from the Color Vibe Collection. Besides, I used foil paper to create a bow.

Note: remember not to glue all boxes together until decoration is finish

When you finish the decoration, it’s time to glue all the boxes together. Our explosion box is ready! What a lovely project!  I hope you like it!

Can’t wait to be here again! Have a happy week!

Hello Simple Stories Friends!

Nathalie with you today to share a colorful and fun page with the new BIRTHDAY BLAST collection.   This new collection is filled with fun designs, colors and sentiments that are perfect to record those special celebrations.

I love the masculine tones in the collection, and all the galactic designs were just ideal to document this picture of my nephew a few years ago ( his party was all about spaceships).

The new Color Vibe collection Basic cardstock are amazing, and provide an amazing background for any layout.  For this page, i used the Buttercup paper from the Sn@P Color Vibe Light pack, and added a bit of sparkle to the background using glitter paste and the 6x6 CONFETTI stencil.   While the glitter dries,  i cut a few stars from the 6x8 paper pad and papers from the collection and hand stitched them to a white cardstock offset of the shape.

I  used a bit of foam adhesive to attach clusters of the handstitched  stars to the page, making sure that i had a combination of the colors of patterns.   I added a few small embellishments to each of the clusters.

To create the title, i  used a combination of ephemera and stickers from the collection.   Once, i set the title down, then i used a  few papers to back the picture and attach it to the right of the title.

To finish this page, i used the BIRTHDAY BLAST stamps  to add a few sentiments to some of the stars, and to help tell my story.    A few silver stars from the Sticker tablet and ephemera packs complete the page.

I hope this inspires you to mix color and design on your next celebration page.  The new BIRTHDAY BLAST is so perfect to document those happy moments.

Hello friends, it’s Dorymar today and I’m sharing a beautiful Snap Album with the new Simple Vintage Coastal Collection. I’m from the Caribbean and when I saw the collection I freaked out with the gorgeous patterns and beautiful tropical flowers.

On the cover, I used the “Let’s Get Lost” paper because has a beautiful vintage design and I didn’t need too much decoration to my cover. Then I selected one of the 4x4 cards and used it as the title of my project. Closer to the title I added some gorgeous pieces from the die cuts and stickers. To add a beautiful texture, I added a little bit of gesso and some mini art stones to give the ocean look.

The designs in this collection are very tropical and have many beautiful images perfect to combine to any pictures from your travel to the Caribbean or any coastal visit. On my first divider, I used one of the 6x8 paper included in the 6x8 paper pad as a background, then I just added a beautiful banner and some die cuts, and my page was ready. The elements are so beautiful, this brings you the opportunity to make your pages so fast.

I love to use many elements from the collection to decorate my pages, here you can see how on the sides of my photo mats I made some clusters to give a perfect touch to the project.

One of the new elements that Simple Stories brings for this summer are the Foam Alpha Stickers, they come in many colors and are perfect for adding your own titles on the pages. In this project, I used the green ones and you will be able to see how they make the page stand out.  They have the perfect size to use it in any project.

What I love most about snaps are the pocket pages, being able to combine the cards and pieces that I will use with the designs I prepared for my pages, is so fun! I love to adhere stickers and die cuts on the pocket page to highlight the designs and my photos.

I used the pages with lines included in the album and make a few 3x4 cards to add journaling, then I decorated with the beautiful sticker included in the 4x6 Sticker Book.  The sticker pad is perfect to add beautiful sentiments and decoration to the spreads.

On this page I fussy cut the side of one of the 6x8 paper because it has a lovely coastal scene, I added it with foam tape on the side of my photo mat and looks like they come together. This page is perfect to document a beautiful photo from the ocean.

The banners of the collection are perfect to add photos or just to add your journaling. In this case I used one of the 2x2 cards with a beautiful sentiment and added it to the frame.

I hope you’ve got some inspiration from this project and use the new Simple Vintage Coastal Collection to create a beautiful project to document your lovely memories on the coast.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello everyone! Anya here today and it's my turn to share creations that were made with the Magical Birthday collection. I made two cards and a little mini book in a shape of a gift box. I've had this idea for a long time and this paper line seemed simply perfect for that.

I used a downloadable cut file and a Silhouette to cut the pages and a large bow. For the cover, I've cut a large bow and added machine stitching to it. I decorated pages with element pieces, ephemera and other decorative elements. Having a mini book ready will save me lots of time. I'll simply fill it with photos and stories when time comes!

For the cards, I used one of my favorite techniques: using two complimentary patterned papers for the background, adding a lighter center piece and decorating it with popped up elements. This collection has so many fun pieces to play with! I used some of my girls' favorites for these cards.

Thank you for visiting Simple Stories and stop by again soon!

Have you ever looked at a a patterned paper and been inspired to recreate it on a larger scale?  As I was looking through the 4 X 6 Elements Paper in the Summer Farmhouse Collection, I was completely inspired to recreate the pocket piece!  So I set off into the collection to figure out how to do just that!  Christine joining you today with a colorful Summer Farmhouse layout!

I have really been drawn to incorporating the 6 X 8 paper pads lately and today was no exception.  My actual pocket for the layout was cut out from one of the papers in the 6 X 8 pad. I created a pocket template on my own and then used that to cut this one out.  Then I went over the printed stitching and added actual hand stitching to the pocket.

I wanted to have lots of flowers overflowing from the pocket.  But I had to approach this somewhat cautiously - not wanting to go overboard.  A combination of cardstock stickers, stickers from the 4 X 6 sticker book, ephemera, and chipboard all make up this bouquet. I did use a variety of adhesives in order to add dimension as needed.

The Washi tape in this collection is gorgeous and was perfect to add as a boarder on the layout.  I also incorporated lots of enamel dots throughout the layout.

Although I love the words on the original pocket - I opted to stick with what was printed on the sheet from the 6 X 8 paper pad.

Having already used words in a big way on the layout - I only added some little word stickers to the bottom of the layout. I didn't want the other elements to get lost to text.  If you'd like to take a closer look at this layout you can catch my process video on my YouTube Channel

Thanks so much for joining us at Simple Stories today!

Hi! Odessa here with a project I’ve been working on with the new Simple Stories Birthday Blast. It was just what I needed to go with some photos of my two boys. Packed with bright bold colours, fun patterns and lots of balloons and streamers and banners, I was excited to get embellishing.

I used the Birthday Blast 6x8 Pad to decorate the cover of my Teal SN@P! Binder. I used the fun rainbow plaid as the base and then used different blue patterned cardstock from the pad on the top and the bottom of the page set at an angle.

I added an extra strip of each of the edge cardstock paper and then used some big word stickers from the Combo Sticker Sheet with s cheery balloon Chipboard Sticker. I finished it off with a couple of the banner stickers from the Combo Sticker sheet. It’s was really easy to put together with just a few stickers and some cardstock.

I kept the angle layers going on the inside, echoing it on a photo and journal card. I decorated the page with all the colours and patterns from Birthday Bash. In the middle I used one of my favourite SN@P! page protectors, It has a 2x8 pocket on the inside edge and if you cut it apart from the rest of the protectors it’s great to use as a divider. It’s a fun way to separate things, add more layers or just embellish more.

Inside my little divider with all kinds of stickers and enamel dots. I sealed it up with the scalloped border from the Combo Sticker sheet with washi stuck to the back and put a big chipboard sticker Happy Birthday Banner on top.

I love instant photos so I used the fun plaid pattern on the Wish Big! Cardstock to make an instant photo inspired frame to go over my photo. I used the deep blue Birthday Boy cardstock as the background and added a ton of embellishments. Those glitter enamel dots are a favourite.

This photo had an ugly air conditioner hanging out in the back so I used the It’s My Party cardstock just like on the cover to hide it. I added a splash of Bits & Pieces, Chipboard Stickers, Enamel Dots, Brads and more to make it extra cute. The balloons in the 3x4 Element next to it matches the rainbow stripes perfect. Birthday Blast was just what I needed to go with these photos.

Supplies

Make your little guy's next birthday party a blast with the "Birthday Blast" Collection! Today I'm sharing just a few ideas for party favors and decorations...let's take a look at the complete ensemble:

I started by making goodie bags featuring the adorable robot stamp:

The image was stamped (onto Neenah cardstock) with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then colored in with the Copic markers shown above.  Next, I die cut the image with a 2" circle and then layered it onto a larger die-cut shape.  The bags were simply crafted from  6" X 12" strip of patterned paper.  For this 4" X 6" X 0.5" size I scored at 4", 4.5", 8.5" and 9" and then turned and scored at 0.5"

After folding the bag into the shape and securing the edges, I added a pipe cleaner for the handle!  I also stamped the "Thanks a bot" phrase onto the orange balloons paper and used a tag die to cut out.

Next is a set of 2X2 flags for paper straws! I cut apart select squares from the "2X2 Element Sheet" and used a standard hole punch to make a hole at the top and bottom.  The straw threads easily through the holes and done!

The chair banner is great for photo-shoots and can also be used as a wall or high chair banner.  I started by laminating one of the 6X8 papers from the paper pad.  Next, I punched two holes at the top right and left corner and tied on a yard of ribbon at each side (use more or less as needed).  Paper strips in various widths and lengths (1.5" wide with lengths ranging from 4" to 6") were attached to the back of the ribbon with hot glue.  The banner can be tied around the chair or across a window...this is such a versatile project!

Finally, I decorated a wooden picture frame with a layer of patterned papers, chipboard pieces and enamel dots; looks so cute as a tabletop decoration or photo prop!

Other ideas: popcorn covers, paper hats, dress-up photo props, mini scrapbooks and guest journal cards (have guests write messages on 4X6 journal cards and add them to an album).

Thank you for joining...now wasn't that a blast!?!

Hello friends! It’s Jen today with a new layout using the amazing new Color Vibe papers and alphas. I can’t even with how amazing the textured cardstock is – pair that with the accompanying alpha stickers and you have just what you need to create beautiful projects.

For this layout, I pulled colors from the Basics, Bolds, and Brights papers to match the colors in my photo along with the Simple Stories Wreath (214849) and Butterflies (58850) cut files from the Silhouette Design Store. With only a few pieces of paper and some stickers, I was able to create a project with a lot of impact.

Once I had determined which colored cardstock to use, I began cutting wreaths from each piece. One of my favorite parts about the textured cardstock is that one side is plain while the other has polka dots, which is what I used on this project.

To keep everything from disappearing into the background, I used the Cedar woodgrain patterned paper from my SN@P! Basic papers. Choosing the dark background really makes the bright colors pop.

With all of the wreaths cut, I set about machine stitching them onto the patterned paper. Doing this allowed me to fold the leaves up and added just the right amount of texture.

The butterflies were cut next using the scraps from the same papers I used to cut the wreaths. To give them a bit of variety, I stitched the opposite sides together and then folded the wings upward. These were adhered to the wreath using foam squares.

When placing my photo, I chose not to back it or use embellishments since the wreaths and butterflies are already so prominent – I didn’t want it to get too busy.

Next was the title, and I used the foam alpha stickers in coordinating colors with the Alpha Sticker Book – Basics.

In the bottom-right corner of the layout, I used the tear strip from the woodgrain paper and my manual typewriter to note the occasion and date. A few enamel dots from my Simple Stories stash completed the project.

Here’s one more look at the finished layout.

If you haven’t picked up the Color Vibe patterned papers and alpha stickers yet, be sure to do so. The possibilities are endless and they coordinate with the other Simple Stories collections beautifully. Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I hope you are inspired to create.

Hi there and welcome!  Its Tya here and it is my turn to share my latest batch of handmade cards! I created 5 cards using the awesome new “Color Vibe” papers and stickers! This collection makes great basics that can be used with any of the numerous collections that Simple Stories has. So when I was assigned to create my cards using “just” the Color Vibe products, I was a little nervous… would I miss all my beloved bold, pattern paper and ephemera? Could I create cute cards using just paper and stickers? Challenge accepted! I hope you like what I created!

One of my favorite ways to use basic type pattern papers is to make my own die cuts so I turned to the Simple Stories library over on the Silhouette Design Store. There are so many cute cut files over there so I decided on a few basic shapes and then got to creating.

My first card features the “Lights” paper and stickers. I cut out 5 different sized hearts using this cut file over on the Silhouette Store (Hearts – shape #83043).  Using the offset feature duplicated the heart 5 times in different sizes. I then backed each of the hearts 5 different papers. The pattern papers have a solid side and the other side has tone on tone dots. I used the dot side of the papers. I then turned to the ‘Lights” Alpha Sticker Book for my sentiment by mounting the letter stickers on some white cardstock and then trimming it down and adding it to the card base. To finish off the card I added some enamel dots in the same shade of the paper to the hearts.

This card is so bright and fun! I got creative and made my own striped “pattern paper” by cutting strips of each of the 6 papers from the “Bolds” paper. I then turned to the “Best Year Ever” Combo sticker and used the navy dot scallop border sticker on the top and bottom edges of the card. These colors matched perfectly! To create my sentiment I cut out the “Hello” using this Silhouette cut file (Hello Script – shape #188029). I turned to the black type stickers from the “Basics” Alpha Sticker Book. I then grabbed some heart stickers from the “Best Year Ever” Combo Sticker and the 4x6 Sticker Book. The “Best Year Ever” collection has some great basic shapes that worked really well as little accents for my cards.

I have had this cute embellishment of cream colored flowers with cardstock “buttons” in the centers on my Pinterest board forever and so I thought I’d recreate it with the Color Vibe papers. I made the flowers from the “Cream” Color Vibe Basics and then the centers are from the “Lights”, “Brights” and ‘Bolds” papers.  I used this Silhouette cut file to create the flowers and the flower centers. (Flower – shape #58854). I cut a scallop rectangle using a metal die and some of the “Black” Color Vibe Basics paper. I then mounted the flowers on some white cardstock and then glued that to the scallop rectangle. The sentiment on this card is made from the “Black” letter stickers from the “Basic Alpha Sticker Book.

This cute card was super fun to make and just in time for Mothers Day. I loved the color combo of coral, black, cream and grey so I cut out this floral cluster using this Silhouette Cut file (Happy Haunting Halloween Flowers- shape #301886) and then papers from the “Basics” and then “Bold” papers. I layered these together and glued them to the bottom right corner of my card. I added a cream button to the center of the largest flower and tied some coral twine to the center. To make my sentiment I used the cute and fun “Coral” Foam Alphas. I spelled out the word “Mom” with the foam stickers and added them to the card base. I wanted to add a little bit more so I turned to the “Basics” Alpha Sticker Book. I love the type stickers so I spelled “love u” with the cream type stickers.

My last card is super bright and bold! I of course used the “Brights” Color Vibe Basics to make this card.  I cut out 2 popsicles using this Silhouette Cut File. (Orange Popsicle – shape #62886). The cut file is of a solid popsicle, but I wanted some striped popsicles so I cut out a base from the “Cream” paper and then cut 4 other popsicles using the Pink, Orange, Yellow and Teal papers. I simply snipped off the colors I wanted, in the order I wanted, and then glued them down on the cream base. I wanted a really vivid background to put my popsicles on so I created my own background using some Distress Oxide Inks in Pink, Orange, Yellow and Teal. I blended them together and glued my new colorful background to my card base. I then cut a stitched rectangle from some of the Pink paper and placed some white cardstock to the center. I mounted my popsicles to this part of the card with foam tape. The sentiment was made using the “Brights” Alpha Sticker Book. I liked the mix of the type stickers and the tall, bold stickers. I needed a few finishing touches so again turned to the “Best Year Ever” Cardstock stickers and 4x6 Sticker Book for the sun and hearts. I tied some orange bakers twine along the bottom and added 2 clear sequins to the popsicles for a little shimmer.

I truly had so much fun making these cards.  It really made me stretch my creativity to use just the few items that I did- and I kind of like how they all turned out!  I hope I have inspired you to create some cards of your own using the “Color Vibe” papers and stickers! They are great basics and I know I will use them over and over again! Thanks for coming by and Happy Crafting Friends!

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by today! It’s Kylie back with you to share a brand new layout I have been working on. Even though it’s almost Winter here in Australia, doesn’t mean I can’t dream of Summer and recall sweet moments! The Summer Farmhouse collection was perfect for a layout I wanted to create.

When I first saw the papers’ I was immediately drawn to the “SIMPLE PLEASURES’ paper and the cute pinwheel graphics. It was from this paper, that I knew I wanted to include a pinwheel into my design!

From a 4”x 4” square, I cut and folded the pinwheel from the “SWEET SUMMER” paper and added a second one behind from the “BACKYARD BBQ” paper. To centre my pinwheel, I added one of the gorgeous decorative brads.

For my background page, I layered together the “CHOOSE TO SHINE”, “SUNNIES AND SANDALS” and more of the “SWEET SUMMER” papers. Using a decorative punch from my craft stash, I added a strip made from white cardstock.

I think a large title can add so much to a layout, which is why I chose the ‘SUMMER’ title from the chipboard stickers.

I added a 1.5cm strip of the “SWEET SUMMER” to the lower section of my page, for a little added colour balance. I layered my two photos into the bottom right hand corner and embellished them with some of the die cuts. Some were added with foam tape to give a little more dimension.

To complete my design, I added the sweetest sun and cloud die cuts, positioned above my title. The finished result screamed Summer and I loved the bursts of colour.

Thanks so much for taking a look at my layout. I hope it has given you a little inspiration for your own Summer layouts!

Take care,

Kylie
